Orthodontic Insurance Providers

Do you or a family member need braces or some other kind of orthodontics? Well the first step in finding orthodontic insurance is to start looking at the various orthodontic insurance providers.

As you start comparing their plans and company information, it can be very beneficial to know exactly what you are dealing with. That is why we have prepared this simple explanation about some of the various orthodontic insurance providers in your area.

GE Wellness Plan

The GE Wellness Plan is a common health savings plan that many people choose to go with. Instead of traditional insurance where you pay a small amount of money (called the premium) each month and get all future services discounted or free – the GE Wellness Plan works a little differently.

First of all the GE Wellness Plan will cover orthodontics (braces), periodontal surgery (gum surgery), tooth extractions, bridges, dentures, and root canals.

It provides all this care, like other orthodontic insurance providers, by you paying a flat yearly fee of around $150. By doing so, you are then eligible for significant discounts on those services. So instead of paying $5000 for braces, you might pay only half. Of course it depends on your specific needs, but that is how it generally works.

Signature Wellness Plan

The Signature Wellness Plan is similar to the GE Wellness Plan. It is designed to protect your family from rising health care costs and expensive treatments. By paying a one time fee you help protect your health.

They have many different agreements set up with dental, vision, and pharmacy providers nationwide. By doing this, they have negotiated significant discounts ahead of time.

This means you can get orthodontic services (like braces) for much cheaper than if you had no insurance from orthodontic insurance providers.

Private Health Insurance Providers Offering Orthodontic Insurance

Many different companies also offer traditional insurance. Just like you would buy health insurance, getting a plan from these orthodontic insurance providers enables you to pay a premium for future service:

  • Aetna
  • Ameritas
  • BlueCross BlueShield
  • Careington
  • Connection/GEHA
  • Guardian
  • Medicaid
  • Principal
  • United Concordia
  • United Health Care
  • Cigna
  • Assurant/DHA
  • Delta Dental PPO
  • Delta Dental Premier
